While Al Martino's original version was more forceful throughout (like the movements of a bullfighter or tango dancer), my version saves the force for the song's high points, and focuses more on the sensual quality of Latin music the rest of the time (as I did in my cover of Sway). I'm using a karaoke arrangement based on Engelbert Humperdink's version of the song. I love the steady pulse of the drums! It's the song's heartbeat.
